Studying to Make Animated Videos

I know it’s probably weird, but, I actually stopped school in order to well, start learning right in front of my computer and one of the things that I wanted to first learn about would be animated videos. You see, I’ve always been a fan of animation ever since I was a kid and well, since I never really liked going to school since I only thought of it as a formality, I thought that I could just learn making videos right at home. After all, most people would even agree with me that you’ll learn a lot by surfing the internet and reading books online rather than being limited by what your teacher and curriculum can teach you at school. Though, this isn’t to say that I’ll be successful in the long run. Still, I’m willing to take my chances. Any thoughts about my decision? Anyone have something to say about this?

A friend took graphic design classes at a school that was neither accredited or had a history for making positive job placements. At first, I considered it a blessing for my business but found out the hard way that you get what you pay for.
