Go to School While Looking for a Job

If you’re one of the thousands of Americans out of work, or underemployed, this is the time to go back to school. Sadly job searches are taking way too long these days.

Don’t give up. Do everything you can to get a job. Your primary job right now is job hunting. But once you’ve updated your resume and your online profiles, especially at places like Linked In, applied for every job out there and make everyone you know aware that you’re job hunting, there’s a limited amount of job hunting work you can do every day. You should search the job boards for new listings and make contacts with people you know every day or every week, but that won’t take up 40 hours.

Use some of that spare time to go back to school. If you choose an online college you can take as many classes as you can fit in around your job search. You’ll also be improving your resume and making contacts at the same time!
